Abstract

The need for electrical energy is increasing along with population growth and technological developments. This increase was also triggered by the growth rate of energy demand of 6.86% every year. Most of the energy needs in Indonesia come from fossil or conventional energy which has limitations and is not environmentally friendly due to emissions requirements. Therefore, there is a need for renewable and environmentally friendly energy alternatives.
Solar Power Plant (SPP) is an electricity generation system that utilizes solar radiation into electrical energy using solar modules which are included in green energy so that it becomes a renewable generator and is one solution to meet people's needs for environmentally friendly electricity. SPP is basically a power supply (device that supplies electrical power to an electrical load) which is designed to supply electrical energy needs starting from small to large scale, both Off-Grid and On-Grid connected to the PLN network as well as Hybrid (combined with other electrical energy sources). And one of the areas that has the potential to plan a Hybrid Solar Power Plant for Rooftop BTS Towers is in Palakka Market, Bone Regency, which has a location with a solar radiation level of 5.91 kWh/m2/day.
This plan uses quantitative analysis and simulation software to design a SPP system using PVsyst 7.3 and Homer Pro software which will be used to determine the production costs of the electrical energy produced. With a total daily energy requirement of 74,472 Wh/day and the monocrystalline type of solar panels used with a solar panel capacity of 550 Wp is 27 units. 10 batteries and 1 hybrid inverter. so that the initial investment cost obtained from the numerical calculation results is IDR 303,691,550 with a positive NPV value of IDR 62,148,591 and an IRR of 11.62%. In the PVsyst simulation the initial investment cost is IDR 303,691,546 with a positive NPV value of IDR 135,816,021 and an IRR of 12.07%, while in the Homer Pro software the initial investment cost is IDR 303,691,550 with an NPV value of IDR 421,470,600 and an IRR value of 36.2%. So this PLTS planning is said to be feasible, because the NPV is positive (>0), and the IRR value is higher than the interest rate and return on investment capital which is less than the 25 year project period.
