Abstract
In this study, the investigation of the effect of the ejector’s performance on the reduction of air pollutants in the welding room was carried out. This is done once gas and dust particles comes up during welding. The measurement of air pollutants is carried out in two conditions. Firstly, it is done during welding with no ejector running and secondly, when the welding and ejector are simultaneously running. the measurements taken are carbon monoxide (CO) and total dust
(Total Suspended Particulate). the Ambient Gas Sampler is utilized in measuring the CO gas, while the Staflex Air
Sampler measures the TSP. the results show that when the ejector is run, the carbon monoxide and dust are lower
compared to the situation when the ejector is not run.
