Abstract
An electric motor is an equipment that changes electromagnetic energy whose function is based on the force
exerted between the electric current that enters with the generated magnetic field. Because of the principle of this
function, the electric motor generally has a very high efficiency. The highest efficiency on a motor is achieved at a load of around 75% and drops drastically on a load below 30%. Inductive load induction motors generally have a low power factor. In this research, experimental research has been carried out on how to identify the types of loading and the value of the induction motor power factor. Based on the results of the analysis it can be concluded that the greater the value of the induction motor loading, the greater the power factor will be obtained. From the observations it can also be seen that when loaded with a generator, the induction motor power factor will be greater than when it is not loaded
