Education is very important in a country. At the end of 2019, the Takalar Central Statistics Agency (BPS) stated
that more than six thousand children had dropped out of school in Takalar Regency. The factors that have the most influence are poverty and community culture. The purpose of this science and technology activity for the community is to provide counseling through Focus Group Discussions about the importance of education for children in Takalar Regency. Increase public awareness, understanding and knowledge of awareness of education participation & the impact of school dropouts in Takalar Regency. The application of science and technology uses the waterfall method to increase awareness of the importance of educated children and change the community's dogma which states that school fees are expensive and instead children are directed to find work to help their family's economy. The result of this activity is the assistance of the Children's Reading Garden Group FGD.
