Abstract
Liquid organic fertilizers made by the unstirring method have low N, P, and K content (Chandra, 2017). So, to obtain
liquid organic fertilizers whose N, P, and K contents meet the standards set in the Regulation of the Minister of
Agriculture Number 70/Permentan/SR.140/10/2011, it is necessary to use raw materials containing high N, P, and K.
high (Nur, 2016). And stirring is done so that all components are in contact with each other homogeneously . The purpose of this activity is to determine the effect of variations in stirring frequency and stirred
fermentation time on the content of N, P, and K and to compare with the minimum technical requirements for liquid
organic fertilizer Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture Number 70/Permentan/SR.140/10/2011. In this activity,
variations in stirring frequency were used, namely 2,4,6, and 8 times with a stirring duration of 30 minutes every day for 12 days of fermentation for each stirring frequency. Fermentation is carried out with a stirred fermentation tank under anaerobic conditions. Measurements of the content of N, P, and K were carried out for every 3 days of fermentation (days 3, 6, 9, and 12). Measurement of N content was carried out using the kjeldahl method, measurement of P content using a
UV-Vis spectrophotometer, and K measurement using AAS (Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer). The results of the
analysis showed that the variation of stirring frequency and higher the N, P, and K content obtained, but the results
obtained did not meet the requirements. the minimum technical requirements for liquid organic fertilizer are Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture Number 70/Permentan/SR.140/10/2011, namely 3-6% for N, P, and K. While the highest yield obtained is N 0.24 %; P 0.07%; and K 0.18% at a stirring frequency of 8 times with a fermentation time of 6 days.
