A housing community of Nusa Harapan Permai (NHP) was located in Katimbang Village, Biringkanaya District,
Makassar City. Waste should not be a problem if the waste management process goes according to the rules. The waste
collection truck often didn't arrive on schedule. The mismatch of the waste collection truck schedule resulted in the
accumulation of waste in every resident's house. The solution used to solve the waste problem was to provide counseling
on waste treatment and use it more useful items, provide training on making ecobricks from plastic waste, and use it as
chairs. After programming of community service activities have been carried out, partners of community service program
have the awareness to manage plastic waste, make ecobricks from plastic waste, and use it as chairs.
