Occupational health and safety is all health area effort with aim in order the labors can be protected from resulted by health trouble is working factors and environment of job. The accident of job activity is an undesirable event or occurences which harm to human being, damage of good and chattel or loss to process, also this accident ussually happened effect of contact with a mineral, vitamin or source of energy. Compliance means to follow a specification, standard, or law which has been arranged clearly which is ussually published by organization or institute in charge of a certain area.
This research aims to obtain information about compliance of worker to the usage of personal protective equipment and about the implementation of safety management system at the company Hazama. This research type is including research qualitative descriptive analysis, with deeper interview technique and participation observation. The sources of data in this research is got from result of interview by using guidance of questionnaires and guidance of observation.
From result of analysis compliance of workers to the management of safety and to usage of personal protective equipment influenced by some factors that is knowledge, attitude, counseling of friends. Compliance of worker to the management of safety and to usage of personal protective equipments in having it is categorized good. because knowledge workers about occupational safety and health feels good, it was caused by any training or seminars of safety and health that followed workers organized by the company.
Pursuant to this research is expected by company can be optimal again regulation of legislation about occupational safety No. 1 in the year of 1970 and procedures and regulation the Security and Safety Management Company Hazama. with organization structure of occupational health and safety, and give opportunity to the workers to follow seminar or training of occupational health and safety carried held outside the firm or public company.
