Abstract
Liquid smoke from combustion that uses biomass raw materials has its own advantages, where liquid smoke can
be used as a food preservative or liquid fuel. The purpose of this study was to determine the performance of integrated
liquid smoke equipment by utilizing biomass energy and to determine the feasibility of the liquid smoke produced. This
research method is by doing pyrolysis and distillation components. The smoke from burning biomass will be condensed,
then the distillation process will be continued to increase the grade of liquid smoke produced. This study uses variations of coconut shell biomass. The stages in this research are the design, manufacture and assembly of tools, testing tools,
testing the feasibility of the quality of liquid smoke produced. Based on the results obtained, liquid smoke produced from the research is about 200 ml – 500 ml. Smoke fish with preservation using liquid smoke still lasts the 7 day with safe contents without eschericia coli bacteria.
