Abstract
Rice husk as a side product of the milling process, that is a potential silica source. The primary aim of this research is to
explore the prospect rice husk agricultural waste. The production silica from rice hush (SiRH) was prepared by extract
method. Natrium hydroxide solution was used delignification process and hydrocloride as precipitate solution at normal
acidity. The SiRH extract product was characterization by using fourier transform infra-red (FTIR) analysis to find Si-OH and Si-O-Si bonding groups, X-ray diffraction analysis, and X-ray fluorescence analysis. The characteristics of the SiRH extract product was indicated the bonding groups Si-O-Si and Si-OH. The XRD analysis was represent amorphous structure and the silica content was 90.92% by XRF analysis
