This study focuses on the study of web-based village information systems in the village of Tompobulu,
Tonpobulu District, Maros Regency. The research objective is a web-based village information system model in
Tompobulu Village, Tompobulu District. The method used is a program design research method. The stages that were
carried out began with data collection and continued with the development of information systems, namely by
observation and identification of problems, surveys, interviews, focus group discussions, and then carried out data
analysis and design, program making, implementation and system testing. The results of research in the form of a
prototype web-based program that provides information and presents village data to the community about the village
profile which includes: history of the village, history of village governance, village geography, socioeconomic conditions
of the population, population consisting of population data on birth, death population, population moving places and
others. Output of this research is in the form of appropriate technology (software) village information systems (Simdes),
manuals for application usage, and journals / proceedings.
