Abstract

The use of postpaid (conventional) kilo Watt hour (kWh) meters often creates risks between consumers and PT PLN
(Persero). This is due to the manual recording system which causes inaccuracies in recording the consumption of electrical energy for consumers. The purpose of this research is to design an electrical energy controller that is easy to monitor, thorough, and accurate. This research is based on IoT using Arduino, PZEM-004T Module, wemos, and real time clock as a microcontroller. The advantage of this tool is that it supports consumers to be able to turn on/off (on/off) the household electrical system remotely, automatically overload or short circuit and can find out the amount of current, voltage, power and energy/cost used. It is hoped that this tool can be an alternative for consumers in saving electrical energy and monitoring the use of electrical energy in households with a very high level of measurement accuracy. This research will be part of the completeness of the student learning module in the control system subject of the Electronic Engineering study program majoring in Electrical Engineering at the State Polytechnic of Ujung Pandang (PNUP).
