The quality of boiler feed water is highly dependent on the performance of the mixed bed unit water treatment plant. The process that occurs in the mixed bed is ion exchange which functions to remove positive and negative ions contained in water.
This study aims to determine the performance of the mixed bed at PT. Bosowa Energi PLTU Jeneponto which includes several parameters, namely conductivity, pH and chlor content.
The method used is the collection of operational data on the mixed bed unit water treatment plant PT. Bosowa Energy PLTU Jeneponto and the required data on the object under study, namely conductivity, pH and chlor content. To do this, direct observations were made, namely observations in work units and interviews with related parties as well as library observations.
The results showed that the effect of the operating time and the regeneration process carried out on the mixed bed equipment on the analyzed parameters including conductivity, pH and chlor content showed that the boiler feed water met the requirements to be used as boiler feed water at PT. Bosowa Energy PLTU Jeneponto. Where in the period from April 13, 2021 to April 25, 2021, the percent average reduction in conductivity is 99.470%, pH is 0.223% and chlor content is 71.951%.
