The paper industry is one of the industries in Indonesia that has quite good prospects in the future, and can contribute to the Indonesian economy. The availability of TKKS raw materials which are widely used, as well as the opportunity to process them into paper is quite good, so it is planned to establish a paper factory with TKKS raw materials. This paper factory works with the Acetocell process. Based on raw materials, ease of transportation, water sources and land, the planned location for the factory is in West Kalimantan,

Making paper using the Acetocell process goes through 4 stages, namely the pre-treatment stage, the cooking stage which aims to remove lignin using a 85% CH3COOh solution, the third stage is bleaching which aims to increase the brightness of the paper using H2O2 and Na2S2O4, and the final stage is post-treatment stage which aims to form paper sheets and reduce the water content in the paper, so that the paper only has a water content of 5%.
