Abstract
This study investigates the implementation of 3D Building Information Modeling (BIM), specifically utilizing the dedicated software Allplan Bridge 2024, for the planning and design phase of a complex flyover construction project. Aligned with the demands of digitalization within Construction 4.0, the research aimed to evaluate how a parametric BIM methodology contributes to the efficiency, data accuracy, and overall effectiveness of managing intricate structural geometry. The implemented method focused on leveraging the software's advanced parametric features to create a unified digital model that integrates geometric, material, and analytical data. Performance was assessed based on the quality of visual output, the software's stability, and the reliability of the automatically generated Quantity Take-Off (QTO) reports, which are crucial for project documentation.
The implementation proved highly effective, delivering optimal, stable, and lightweight performance while yielding a precise, integrated 3D Visualization Model. Key findings confirm significant efficiency gains, including accelerated design-to-documentation workflows and reduced human error, as evidenced by the accuracy of the QTO reports. Based on these results, the study recommends extending the model into higher BIM dimensions.
