Abstract
The demand for oyster mushrooms in the city of Makassar for consumption is quite large, ranging from 400 kilograms per day, or about 10 tons per month, but the supply of farmers is only able to supply about 70-150 kg per day which is collected from several farmers in the area (Tribun Timur, 2019). Business opportunities from the cultivation of white oyster mushrooms with a turnover of Rp. 70-100 million, with a selling price of Rp. 25 thousand per kilogram. This study aims to conduct automatic monitoring and control of mushroom production houses based on temperature based on Internet of Things (IOT) and Cloud Storage. The most important factor to control the production of oyster mushrooms is the environment. The room temperature for mushroom production should be between 25-330C. If the temperature is above or below the threshold then the fungus will not grow. Monitoring temperature and humidity parameters using the DHT22 sensor and carbon dioxide levels using the MQ135 sensor. While monitoring the temperature and humidity of the growing media using SHT25 and plant pH sensors. Controlling the temperature of the mushroom production house using incandescent lamps and a humidifier. The whole system is connected to the ESP8266 WiFi module and NodeMCU as a microprocessor becomes an IoT (Internet of Things) sensor. The data is sent by the wireless sensor network in real-time using the Android application so that it can significantly increase mushroom harvest. With the information on effective and efficient monitoring and control of mushroom production houses, farmers can increase mushroom production to improve the economy of the people of Makassar City.
