Abstract
The objective of this study is to investigate the efficiency (active power loss) of two transmission lines connected in a
single line and parallel line at different levels of a purely active end user load. Both configurations are tested by using a transmission simulator at the laboratory and digital simulation – digsilent 15.1.7. Transmission parameter values such as resistive, inductive, and capacitive are scaled using impedance scale factor (ISF). The transmission is connected with five steps of resistive loads, the capacity of each load is 100 W. At sending point and receiving point of the transmission line are measured active power which would be compared for analysis. Based on simulation results it is obtained that the active power loss of the parallel transmission line is less than the single transmission line
