Abstract

(Endang Sutriana), Performance Evaluation of Amine Contactor V-1040 and Amine Regenerator Reboiler E-5030 at Gas Sweetening Unit in Energy Equity Epic (Sengkang) Pty.Ltd, (Advisor I: Ir.Hastami Murdiningsih, M.T. ; Advisor II: Ridhawati, S.T., M.T.).
Energy Equity Epic (Sengkang) Pty.Ltd is an natural gas processing industry which located in Sengkang, South Sulawesi, for distribute gas fuel to power plants PT. Energy Sengkang. In natural gas processing, H2S contains must be removed using Amine Contactor V-1040. The removing process using absorbtion principle. H2S absorption capability can be seen in the amount of H2S which is absorbed by the growing number of H2S contained in Rich Amine. In this case, Rich MDEA or MDEA with a lot of H2S must be regenerated for economical purpose. So, MDEA with less H2S called Lean Amine can be used again. The MDEA regeneration process is placed in Amine Regenerator Reboiler E-5030.. This study aims to determine performance of MDEA to the H2S absorption and determine performance of Amine Regenerator Reboiler at Gas Sweetening System in Energy Equity Epic Sengkang (EEES) Pty.Ltd.
The method used is to collect plant operating data and other necessary data on the object studied by direct observation in the Production Process Plant unit 2 in CCR (Central Control Room), as well as conduct interviews with relevant parties and literature. The data obtained subsequently processed using the corresponding empirical equation
The results of this study indicate that in V-1040 the optimum H2S absorbtion performance is 99,74% at incoming flowrate 20,15 MMSCFD. While the optimum heat efficiency of E-5030 is 97,70% at incoming flowrate 20,15 MMSCFD.
