Abstract

Hardianti (33109069), Sedimentasi Awal (Primary Sedimentation) pada Limbah Cair Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) di PT. Kawasan Industri Makassar (Pembimbing I:Ir.Zulmanwardi, M.Si. dan Pembimbing II: H.R. Fajar, S.T., M.Eng).

PT. Kima sections Waste Water Treatment Plant is one of the companies working in the field of wastewater treatment. In the wastewater treatment process into clear water and a decent life there are some ways that is done, one of which is the process of sedimentation. Sedimentation is the process of separating solids contained in the wastewater by gravity.
The research was conducted to determine the effect of the addition of coagulant sedimentation rate (PAC) and the activated sludge with the influence of COD and BOD values after the sedimentation process. The method used is a graphical method for determine the value of sedimentation and titration method for calculating the value of COD and BOD. Variations in time Variations of the time used for 1 hours with interval 5 minutes
The results can be concluded that the addition of PAC sedimentation rate faster than the addition of activated sludge and without the addition of coagulants. Wastewater BOD Concentration after sedimentation process with the addition of PAC was 30.857 mg/L, activated sludge was 33.577 mg/L and the sample was 34.458 ml/L. While the wastewater COD concentration after sedimentation process with the addition of PAC is 64 mg/L, activated sludge is 70, 4 mg/L and the sample was 76.8 mg/L. Substances contained in the waste outlet to meet existing quality standards.
