Abstract

Rice bran oil was extracted from rice bran that can be used as high-quality edible oil, it contains antioxidant, so that it can
be used as raw material oil-based functional food, cosmetic and pharmacy products. In the extraction process, the yield of
the rice bran oil is strongly influenced by the concentration and amount of solvent, so that in this study, the effect of 76%,
86%, and 96% and 200 mL, 300 mL, 400 mL, 500 mL, 600 mL, and 700 mL etanol for every 100 g of bran was studied.
The extraction process was carried out by maceration method with stirring for 5 h at room temperature. The results
showed that the best concentration and amount of ethanol to extract rice bran oil were 86% and 600 mL, respectively.
The analysis of fatty acid composition of rice bran oil showed that the dominant extracted were saturated fatty acids
group
