Abstract

The COVID-19 outbreak has now spread to almost all countries in the world and has an impact not only on
health sector but also on the economy sector. Doctors, researchers and various national authorities around the world
continue to fight against this outbreak. Machine learning is used to accelerate the search for solutions to the COVID-19
outbreak problem. However, machine learning experts are currently still very limited, especially in Indonesia. To
overcome these limitations, this community service conducts webinars with the theme of the role of machine learning in
fighting the COVID-19 outbreak. Based on the activity conducted on June 14, 2020 using Google Meet, itis known that
this webinar has succeeded in attracting the attention of information technology activists with a large number of
registrants, as many as 191 participants. The participants who live in various regions and from various agencies are also
very enthusiastic during the course so it is hoped that this activity will generate more motivation for the participants to
learn more about machine learning. At the end, the participants can become new machine learning experts in Indonesia.
