Abstract

A farmer, as a partner, has a desire to increase production by reducing the cost of operating on a manual irrigation
system, so the need for irrigation system equipment with simple and appropriate technology to support the irrigation
process on agricultural land. One of its efforts is by organizing machine tools sprinkler irrigation system that serves to
water the plants continuously, automatically and evenly. The availability of the main equipment and equipment
supporting machinery in the sprinkler irrigation system, the partner can operate and apply the sprinkler irrigation system
machine on his farm without dependence on labor. This can improve production with better quality. IbM's
implementation activities begin with a short training with practical methods of knowledge of the functions of machine
tool components, skills in assembly systems and the operation of sprinkler irrigation installations and their maintenance
systems and safety and health (OSH) training. The training is focused on improving partner skills in operating sprinkler
irrigation machines according to operating standards. Sustainability partner skills can support the process of planting
onions to produce the quality of red onion. Partners who already have sprinkler irrigation machine equipment, and have
the ability in operation and maintenance, and have awareness of the importance of K3. The next step is the delivery of
main equipment and supporting equipment in an effort to repair irrigation system from manual system to automatic
system with sprinkler irrigation technology. The IbM (Science for society) product was in the form of sprinkler
irrigation system equipment, namely automatic water pump machine (cotton capacity 33 liters/minute, 125 watt),
adjustable Sprinkler Rocker (sprinkler head) inverted rotor, pressure 0.5 - 10 kg / cm2 (bar), wetting diameter 3 - 6 m,
rotational speed 0,5 - 1 rpm, discharge 0.2 - 50 liter/s, PVC pipe diameter of ¾ " and ½", Electrical timer, setting time:
1 - 4 hours, distance between lateral 3 meters with speed 4.25 mm/hour water supply operates well that can meet the
needs of watering drops on the farm.
