Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the performance of the fuel (premium, pertalite, pertamax, and
pertamax turbo) which were tested on a gasoline motor. This test was carried out using a CM11 gasoline engine equipped
with digital-based instrumentation and control located at the Petrol Engine Laboratory of the Ujung Pandang State
Polytechnic Mechanical Engineering Department. Exhaust gas emissions are measured using Automotive emission
analyzer, Heshbon HG-520 type. The results showed that specific fuel consumption at 1500 to 1700 rpm has a value that
tends to be the same, at 1800 rpm the pertalite fuel has the lowest value of 1332 kg / kWh, and in 1900 to 2000 rpm
premium fuel has a value that the tallest. For the results of research on exhaust emissions it is known that the pertamax
turbo fuel has the lowest CO2 content in each round, pertamax fuel has the lowest O2 content at each turn, pertalite fuel
has the lowest CO level at 1500 rpm, premium fuel has a level The lowest CO at 1700 rpm, pertamax fuel has the lowest
CO level at 2000 rpm, pertalite fuel has the lowest HC content at 1500 rpm, and pertamax fuel has the lowest HC content
at 1700 and 2000 rpm.
