Abstract

The design and assembly of electric bicycles has been successfully carried out in stages starting from repairing
the mechanical system, assembling the battery and making the place, and assembling the electrical system. The electrical
system assembly has been completed with (1) installing a BLDC (Brushless Direct Current Motor) dynamo on the front
wheels with a power of 350 watts and 48 volts, (2) installing and placing the battery controller, pedal assist, placing the accelerator and brakes, and (3) connecting the electrical system from the dynamo to the battery. The results of the electric bicycle show that the dynamo rotates the wheels and all components normally function. The calculation and average measurement of the time for an empty to full charging battery were 3.5 hours and of 3.8 hours respectively. And then the maximum speeds of an electric bicycle can be seen from the calculation results, LCD display, the STRAVA application, and the average of testing were 41.65 km/hour, 40 km/hour, 38.95 and an average of 38.7 km/hour respectively
