Abstract

The effect of PVC (Polyvinylchloride)-Based Membrane Composition to Ion Selective Electrode (ISE)-Pb(II) Performance using Ionophore1.10, Diaza, 18-Crown-6, Plasticizer NPOE (Nitrophenyl Octhyl Ether), Anionic Site KTCPB (Potassium Tetrakis (4-chloro phenyl) borate) have been performed. The study is aimed at designing selective electrode ions for lead in a polymeric PVC membrane electrode. The PVC membrane is made with a total composition of PVC, NPOE, ionophore and KTCPB is 100 mg diluted with tetrahydrofuran. Ion Selective Electrode is made by immobilizing the ionophore into the PVC polymer. Result of research obtained two compositions that give good response to ion Pb that is at composition 30:60.6:4 with nernst factor is 23,3 (R = 0,979), range of measurement is 1 x 10-5 M – 1 x 10-1 M and at composition with nernst factor is 30:58.8:4 26,15 (R = 0,830), range of measurement is 1 x 10-3 M – 1 x 10-1 M.
