Abstract

This study aims to provide boiler feed water treatment system facilities (water treatment) in accordance
with the PLTU system in the Energy Conversion Laboratory. The design steps begin with field surveys, literature
studies, design and assembly of the boiler feed water treatment system. Data collection was carried out by testing
the raw water and boiler feed water and then testing the silica sand filter, while data analysis was carried out by
comparing the test results data with existing boiler feed water standards. The results obtained are the availability
of a boiler feed water treatment system using a silica sand filter and a water softener unit that is able to change the
nature of raw water from hard to soft. Based on the test results of the boiler feed water treatment system, the
characteristics of the processed water already meet the boiler feed water standards, except for the pH parameter.
