Rice bran oil contains bioactive compounds that have high antioxidant activity, and contains essential fatty acids
which have good effects on health, so it is necessary to study the extraction process of oil. The purpose of this research
was to increase the economic value and usability of rice bran. The special target of this research is to produce rice bran oil
using ethanol as a solvent. The research will be carried out with variable temperature (oC), extraction time (h), and the
volume of ethanol (mL), in which each variable have 4 (four) treatments, namely temperatures of 40, 45, 50, 55oC;
extraction time of 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5 h; and the amount of ethanol 300, 350, 400, 450 mL. The indicator for selecting the best
treatment is the highest oil yield. The results showed that the treatments that produced the highest oil yield were 55oC, 1.5
h and 450 mL ethanol.
